With the growing popularity of the sophisticated martini bars it’s no wonder why coffee martinis have become so trendy. Also known as the coffeetine, it’s the perfect blend of coffee and vodka, an energizing cocktail that is also relaxing.

The Coffee

The renowned Africafe Coffee from African has a nutty aroma, mild citric acidity and chocolaty taste, which makes it perfect for martinis. Instant africafe coffee is an excellent choice when you’re in a hurry, the taste is impressive, dissolves in cold water and the concentration can be easily altered.

The Vodka

Use good quality vodka; avoid the flavored infused vodkas so the essence of the coffee to shine through. Vodka kept in the freezer works best, so the ice won’t water it down.
